Guide
Draw your first play in two minutes.
Everything the board does, in the order you will need it.
1. Pick a surface and add markers
Choose a court or field at the top of the board. Offense markers are numbered circles, defense markers are crosses with a small number, plus a ball and cones. Tap a marker to select it and change its label: one or two letters or numbers, like 3, PG or LW. Markers carry numbers and positions, never names; please keep players' names out of play names and notes as well. Place a starter set drops a ready line-up for the surface.
2. Step 1 is the set-up
Drag every marker to where the play starts. Nothing moves in step 1; it is the picture before the whistle.
3. Add a step, drag who moves
+ Step copies the positions of the step you are on. Drag the players who move in that step: the board draws the line from where they were. Choose the kind of move for the selected marker: run (solid arrow), dribble (zigzag), screen (line with a bar); the ball's move is a pass (dashed arrow) or a carry (no line). Drag a player who has the ball right beside them and the ball goes along, as a dribble.
4. Write a short note
Each step can have a note of up to 80 characters, such as "1 passes to 2 on the wing". Notes and play names refuse email addresses, phone numbers and web addresses.
5. Run it
Run the play animates every step in order. Use the arrows to step back and forward, Slow for new players, All steps for the classic one-picture diagram, and Full screen for a projector.
6. Save, print, share
Save to Playbook keeps the play behind your Playbook's private link. From the Playbook you can open, print a play card, or (Chalk Pass) turn on a view-only link that players can open at home: they can watch the play, not change it, and you can turn the link off at any time.
